from .Hugo has been absolutely on fire with his deep value picks this year so be sure to check out his publication. Hugo is my go-to guy for Deep value in Europe, being based in Valencia, Spain means he’s got a finger to the pulse of the economy there.
In this episode we discuss various investment opportunities, focusing on companies that are undervalued and have significant growth potential: Care Cloud's CCLD 0.00%↑ turnaround story, the growth prospects of Thessaloniki Port $OLTH, the flexible office space market with International Workplace Group $IWG, and the trends in the PGM market.
Whilst I often lament that my track record in Greek-led investments is unblemished by success, his case for Thessaloniki Port I find compelling and have taken a position. I’ve made a bet with Hugo that if this investment does well, I’ll fly to Valencia next year to do an in-person podcast.
A monopoly high margin business that clips the ticket on throughput is my kind of jam and, as usual, the Greek opportunity looks juicily undervalued (but then again, they always do). His previous pitch to me around Piraeus Port Authority failed to rouse me from my PTSD - much to my detriment as it’s since gained 108% over 1 year. It’ll be fun to see how $OLTH plays out.
